A Degree in English grammar associates with the level as well as the intensity of an Adjectives or Adverbs. Grammatically, they are known as Degrees of Adjectives. A qualitative comparison is systematically presented with the help of Degrees.

Obviously, adjectives have three different forms to show the Degrees of Comparison.

POSITIVE DEGREE

A Positive Degree is the state of adjective presented in a simple and normal way, without comparison. Only the presence of quality is shown here. Sometimes, similar quality is equally shown, directly or indirectly between two different Nouns. Positive Degree doesn’t require to change the form of adjective.

COMPARATIVE DEGREE

A Comparative Degree is the state of adjective presented to compare between two Nouns. There is a comparison regarding a particular quality. We find the amount of quality different in two things or persons. Comparative Degree requires to change the form of adjective.

A Superlative Degree is the highest state of adjective presented to compare one noun or pronoun with more nouns or pronouns. The greatest quality of that particular noun or pronoun is shown by comparing with others. Superlative Degree also requires to change the form of adjective.
